OUR STRONG TOWER

“The name of the LORD is a strong tower: the righteous runneth into it, and is safe.” (Proverbs 18:10)
In biblical times, a tower was the best defensive structure known to man. Using the advantages it offered, an outnumbered group of defenders could often hold off a superior force. Our battle today is not against flesh and blood or the weapons of man (Eph. 6:12), and we don't need a physical tower or even a bunker for protection. All we need is the precious Name of Jesus, through whom we are saved (Acts 4:12) and to whom every knee in heaven and earth must bow (Phil. 2:10).
No matter what the enemy throws at us or what happens to us on the outside, we have an impenetrable protection no one else can see - the Name of the Lord, our strong tower.
