EL MINISTERIO DEL CUERPO

 

“Cada uno según el don que ha recibido, minístrelo a los otros, como buenos administradores de la multiforme gracia de Dios.” I Pedro 4:10

“Según cada uno ha recibido un don especial, úselo sirviéndoos los unos a los otros como buenos administradores de la multiforme gracia de Dios.” (La Biblia de las Américas)

“Cada uno ponga al servicio de los demás el don que haya recibido, administrando fielmente la gracia de Dios en sus diversas formas.” (Nueva Versión Internacional)

“Y, como cada uno ha recibido algún don espiritual, úsenlo para el bien de los demás; hagan fructificar las diferentes gracias que Dios repartió entre ustedes.” (La Biblia Latinoamérica)

DONES DE SERVICIO (motivacional)

El  descubrimiento de nuestro Don Espiritual, el desarrollo de ese don y el ejercicio de ese don no es una opción, es una orden de Dios, y Él espera que todos hagamos estas tres cosas. El propósito de los Dones Espirituales es para habilitar al cristiano para participar más efectivamente en la implementación de la comisión de Jesús de “Id, y hacer discípulos a todas las naciones” (Mat. 28:19).

Para que la Iglesia opere lo mejor de su potencial total, cada miembro debe descubrir lo que lo motiva. La llave a este descubrimiento yace en las palabras “interés” y “habilidad”. La meta de Dios para Su Iglesia es que cada miembro se coloca en un ministerio donde él esté interesado y donde yazcan sus habilidades. A colocar una persona a funcionar donde ésta no tiene interés es como poner un “ojo” a funcionar como “oído”. Cuando cada miembro de la Iglesia sirve de acuerdo como Dios lo ha dotado, el resultado será un crecimiento natural del cuerpo (Efe. 4:16). Estos dones hacen posible el ministerio del cuerpo”.

COMPRENDIENDO LOS DONES ESPIRITUALES

“No quiero, hermanos, que ignoréis acerca de los Dones Espirituales” (I Cor. 12:1).  ¡Tal ignorancia no es en ninguna manera bendición! Ignorancia de los Dones Espirituales es uno de las razones principales por el crecimiento retardado de la iglesia. Está ignorancia esta también a la raíz del  desánimo, inseguridad, frustración y culpabilidad que oprime a muchos hermanos y escatima su eficacia total para Dios.

Hay una diferencia entre un Ministerio y un Don Motivacional. Un Ministerio es una área de servicio y un Don Motivacional es esa empuje interior y capacidad que Dios le ha dado a cada individuo sin excepción y sin mérito. Dios le dio este Don el momento que usted fue salvo, no como un talento natural con que usted nace.

No confunden Dones Motivacionales (Dones Espirituales) con talentos naturales. Tal como tocar un instrumento, cocinar, pintar, cantar, etc. No confunden estos Dones con el Fruto del Espíritu. El Fruto del Espíritu se desarrolla, el Don se descubre.

El comprender los Dones Espirituales es la llave para comprender la organización de la Iglesia. Ninguna Iglesia local será lo que debe ser, lo que Jesús oró que debiera ser, lo que Él dotó y capacitó que fuera, hasta que comprenda los Dones Espirituales.

La Biblia declara en I Corintios 12:7-13 que la experiencia del nuevo nacimiento es lo que coloca a la persona en el cuerpo de Cristo y Él da a cada miembro un don único que lo califica para realizar

una función específica en el Cuerpo. Las palabras “cada uno” (I Cor.12:7,11; I Ped. 4:10; Rom. 12:3) y “todos” (I Cor. 12:13; Rom. 12:4-5,6) revelan que por la virtud del nuevo nacimiento, cada miembro tiene a lo menos un don. Una versión de la Biblia parafrasea Efesios 4:7, “Sin embargo, él nos ha dado a cada uno de nosotros habilidades especiales - lo que él quiera que nosotros tengamos de su rico almacén de dones.” Eso indica que ningún miembro del cuerpo de Cristo puede decir que no está capacitado o que no puede hacer algo en la evangelización del mundo.

Cada miembro debe reconocer que los Dones Espirituales no son producidos por el intelecto ni el talento natural. Sino que son un producto de la Gracia de Dios (Rom. 12:6). Alguien puede decir; “Pensé que gracia era un favor inmerecido de Dios.” Sí o es. Pero más que eso, gracia es el deseo y la habilidad dada por Dios para hacer Su voluntad. El Apóstol Pablo revela que:

A. La gracia de Dios causó que él trabajara (I Cor. 15:10).

B. No vivir para Cristo es frustrar Su gracia (Gál. 2:20-21).

C. El fue ministro por la gracia de Dios (Efe. 3:7).

D. Dios motivó en él el deseo de hacer y le dio la habilidad de hacer (Filip. 2:13).

Gracia, entonces, es el motivador divino que capacita a cada hijo de Dios para hacer Su voluntad, “...a buscar y a salvar lo que se había perdido” (Lc. 19:10). El hombre, apartado de Cristo, es incapaz de hacer algo bueno (Rom. 3:10-12).

Ya que Dios nos ha dado estos dones gratuitamente, es evidente que El los dio para que nosotros los usáramos. “Cada uno según el don que ha recibido, minístrelo a los otros, como buenos administradores de la multiforme gracia de Dios” (I Ped. 4:10). El Apóstol Pedro hace dos puntos importantes aquí. Primero, cada uno ha recibido dones y habilidades. En segundo lugar, cada uno debe utilizar sus dones ministrándolos. Nadie está exento; todos deben envolverse. Todo el pueblo de Dios debe aparecer ante el tribunal de Cristo para rendir cuentas de su mayordomía (Rom. 14:10-12; Col. 4:17; Lucas 16:1-2).

Pablo señala tres grupos de Dones en el Cuerpo de Cristo que son los Dones de preparación (equipando), los Dones Espirituales, y los Dones Serviciales.

A. Preparación (púlpito y predicación) Efesios 4:11-13: Dios dio apóstoles, profetas, evangelistas, pastores y maestros “a fin de perfeccionar a los santos para la obra del ministerio, para la edificación del cuerpo de Cristo.” La tarea principal de estos dones para la Iglesia es de capacitadores y preparadores.

B. Espirituales (señales) I Corintios 12:8-10: Dios dio los siguientes Dones sobrenaturales para el uso en la adoración pública (y otros propósitos); palabra de sabiduría, palabra de ciencia, fe, dones de sanidades, el hacer milagros, profecía, discernimiento de espíritus, diversos géneros de lenguas, interpretación de lenguas.

C. Servicio (motivacional) Romanos 12:6-8; I Corintios 12:28: Dios dio estos Dones para el servicio en el Cuerpo de Cristo; enseñanza, liderazgo, profecía, exhortación (ánimo), misericordia, servicio, dar, administración y ayudas.

RAZONES PORQUÉ ALGUNOS NO PUEDEN DESCUBRIR SU DON

A. Puede haber conflictos no resueltos en su vida por lo cual el asunto está siendo nublado y usted no oye la voz de Dios porque las cosas no están bien entre Dios y usted.

B. No está involucrado en algún tipo de Ministerio o servicio por el cual su don motivacional puede descubrirse.

C. Tratando de imitar el don de otro hermano. Esto lo confundirá.

D. El no analizar lo que usted hace y la motivación detrás de ello.

E. Confundir el Ministerio con el Don. El ministerio es la actividad en que usted efectúa lo que Dios le ha llamado hacer, motivado por un don particular.

DESCUBRIENDO SUS DONES PARA MINISTRAR EN EL CUERPO

El primer paso para descubrir su don es aprender andar en el Espíritu. Si usted no aprende andar y vivir en el Espíritu usted entonces va ver y hacer todo en la carne y todo lo que hace lo va hacer por el esfuerzo humano. Cuando estamos en el Espíritu todo los dones trabajan juntos, pero cuando estamos en la carne habrá conflicto y confusión como en la Iglesia en Corinto.  El secundo paso es preguntarse; “¿Que es mi motivación por hacer esto, por sentirme de esta manera o por comportándome en esta manera?” El tercer paso es que debes saber las características de ese Don.

La manera para saber si Dios lo quiere en cierta área de servicio es probar el área, “para que comprobéis cuál sea la buena voluntad de Dios, agradable y perfecta” (Rom. 12:2). El secreto para encontrar la voluntad de Dios está envuelta en una palabra “comprobar.” Esta palabra significa “probar, poner a prueba, con la esperanza de aprobación.” Nosotros lo “probamos” o lo “comprobamos” al tratarlo; con la esperanza de la aprobación ya en nuestra mente. Ponga a prueba el don y vea cómo encaja. Busquemos las claves. Debemos estar conscientes de lo siguiente:

A. ¿QUÉ  VE  USTED?

Salomón aconsejó, “Todo lo que te viniere a la mano para hacer, hazlo” (Ecles. 9:10). Cristo dijo: “Alzad vuestros ojos y mirad los campos, porque ya están blancos para la siega” (Jn. 4:35). ¿Qué es lo que ve usted? ¿Cuáles necesidades son obvias para usted? ¿Hay necesidad de maestros de Estudios Bíblicos? ¿Quizás haya necesidad de intercesores?

B. ¿QUÉ  HACE  USTED?

¿Tiene buenas habilidades de oficina? ¿Es usted un buen maestro? ¿Tiene usted buenas habilidades de comunicación? Estas pueden ser claves de cómo Dios quiera usarlo en Su ministerio de los dones.

C. ¿QUÉ  DISFRUTA  USTED?

¿Le gustan los niños? ¿Le encanta hacer arreglos con flores? Usted puede cuidar los niños para que una madre esté en una clase para nuevos convertidos o animar a un santo ausente con una llamada.

D. ¿QUÉ  SIENTE  USTED?

¿Cuál es su anhelo? ¿Que desea hacer para el Señor? No sea muy general en esta área.

E. ¿QUÉ  ESCUCHA  USTED?

A cualquiera que Dios ha llamado verdaderamente a una área de servicio encontrará confirmación del cuerpo, la iglesia de Dios. ¿Ha recibido usted buenos comentario de su pastor o los hermanos en algo que ha intentado hacer para Cristo?

TODOS DEBEN DESCUBRIR SU DON Y USARLO

Se ha encontrado que en la mayoría de los negocios que el 20% de la gente hace el 80% del trabajo. Esto es también verdad en la mayoría de las iglesias, 20% de los miembros hacen 80% del trabajo y dan 80% del dinero.

Qué le diría a su hijo de 13 años se él vendría a usted un día y le dijera, “Ya no voy a ir a la escuela , no voy hacer nada. No quiero una profesión, solamente voy a vivir y pasármelo suave." Usted probablemente le diría a él, “Mira, tu Madre y Yo ya hemos invertido mucho tiempo y dinero en ti  para crearte.” Llega a los 18 años y viene a usted con la misma cosa, no quiero hacer nada. Usted probablemente le diría, “Mira, estás perdiendo tu vida, tu tiempo y tus talentos." ¿qué piensas que dios le está diciendo se usted no está sirviendo? Dios quiere usarlo para que sirva a otros. ¿Por qué piensas que Dios lo ha bendecido?

 

 

 

 

THE MINISTRY OF THE BODY

 “As every man hath received the gift, even so minister the same one to another, as good stewards of the manifold grace of God.” I Peter 4:10

“As each one has received a special gift, employ it in serving one another, as good stewards of the manifold grace of God.”  (New American Standard) 

“As all of you have received your spiritual talents, you must keep on using them in serving one another, as good trustees of God’s many-sided favor.” (Williams)

GIFTS OF SERVICE (motivational)

Discovering our Spiritual Gift, the development of this gift and the exercise of this gift is not an option, it is an order from God, and He expects us all to do these three things. The purpose of Spiritual Gifts is to enable the Christian to participate more effectively in the implementation of the commission of Jesus to "Go and make disciples of all nations" (Matt. 28:19).

For the Church to operate to the best of its full potential, each member must discover what motivates him. The key to this discovery lies in the words "interest" and "ability". The goal of God for His Church is that each member is placed in a ministry where he is interested and where his abilities can be best put to use. To place a person where he has no interest is like putting an "eye" to function as an "ear". When every member of the Church serves according as God has endowed, the result will be a natural growth of the body (Eph. 4:16). These gifts make possible the ministry of the body. "

UNDERSTANDING THE SPIRITUAL GIFTS

"Concerning spiritual gifts, brethren, I would not have you ignorant" (I Cor. 12:1). Such ignorance is not in any way a blessing! Ignorance of Spiritual Gifts is one of the main reasons for the retarded growth of the church. This ignorance is also the root of discouragement, insecurity, frustration and guilt that oppresses many brothers and curtails their overall effectiveness for God.

There is a difference between a ministry and a motivational gift. A ministry is an area of service and a motivational gift is that inner drive and capacity that God has given to every individual without exception and without merit. God gave you this gift when you were saved, on like a natural talent that you are born with.

Do not confuse Motivational Gifts (spiritual gifts) with natural talents. Such as playing an instrument, cooking, painting, singing, etc. Do not confuse these gifts with the Fruit of the Spirit. The Fruit of the Spirit is developed, a gift is discovered.

Understanding Spiritual Gifts is the key to understanding the organization of the Church. No local church is what it should be, what Jesus prayed it should be, what He gave and trained it to be, until you understand the Spiritual Gifts.

The Bible says in I Corinthians 12:7-13 that the new birth experience is what places the person in the body of Christ and He gives each member a unique gift that qualifies him for a specific function in the body. The words " to everyone" (I Cor.12: 7.11, I Pet. 4:10; Rom. 12:3) and "all" (I Cor. 12:13; Rom. 12:4-5,6 ) show that by virtue of the new birth, each member has at least one gift. The Living New Testament paraphrases Ephesians 4:7, "However, he has given each of us special abilities - what he wants us to have for its rich store of gifts." This indicates that no member of the body of Christ can say that he is not qualified or cannot do something in the evangelization of the world.

Each member must recognize that Spiritual Gifts are not produced by the intellect nor the natural talent. But they are a product of the Grace of God (Rom. 12:6). Someone may say, "I thought grace was unmerited favor of God." Yes it is. But more than that, Grace is the desire and ability given by God to do His will. The Apostle Paul reveals that:

A. The grace of God caused him to work (I Cor. 15:10).

B. Not living for Christ is to frustrate His grace (Gal. 2:20-21).

C. He was a Minister by the grace of God (Eph. 3:7).

D. God motivated in him the desire to do and gave him the ability to do (Phil. 2:13).

Grace, then, is the divine motivator that enables every child of God to do His will, "... to seek and to save that which was lost" (Luke 19:10). A person, without Christ, is incapable of doing anything good (Rom. 3:10-12).

Since God has given us these gifts freely, it is clear that He gave them so we could use them. "As each one has received a gift, minister it to one another, as good stewards of the manifold grace of God" (I Pet. 4:10). The Apostle Peter makes two important points here. First, everyone has received gifts and abilities. Second, everyone should use their gifts ministering. No one is exempt, everyone should get involved. All the people of God must appear before the judgment seat of Christ to give an account of their stewardship (Romans 14:10-12, Col. 4:17, Luke 16:1-2).

Paul specify three groups of Gifts in the Body of Christ which are the gifts of preparation (equipping), spiritual gifts and gifts of service.

A. Preparation (pulpit and preaching) Ephesians 4:11-13: God gave apostles, prophets, evangelists, pastors and teachers "to equip the saints for the work of ministry, for the edifying of the body of Christ." The primary task of these gifts to the church is of capacitadores and trainers.

B. Spiritual (signs) I Corinthians 12:8-10: God gave these supernatural Gifts for use in public worship (and other purposes), word of wisdom, word of knowledge, faith, gifts of healing, working of miracles, prophecy discerning of spirits, divers kinds of tongues, interpretation of tongues.

C. Service (motivational) Romans 12:6-8, I Corinthians 12:28: God gave these Gifts for service in the Body of Christ, teaching, leadership, prophecy, exhortation (encouragement), mercy, service, giving, administration and support .

REASONS WHY SOME CAN NOT DISCOVER THEIR GIFT

A. There may be unresolved conflicts in your life for which the matter is being clouded and you do not hear the voice of God because things are no right between God and you.

B. You are not involved in some type of ministry or service where by your motivational gift will not come to the surface if you simply keep it to yourself. 

C. Trying to imitate someone else's gift. This will confuse you.

D. Failure to analyze what you do and the motivation behind it.

E. Confusing Ministry with gift. Ministry is the activity in which you execute that which God has called you to do, motivated by a particular gift.

DISCOVERING YOUR GIFTS TO MINISTER IN THE BODY

The first step in discovering  your gift is not by working at it. The first thing that you have to do is learn to walk in the Spirit. If you do not learn to walk and live in the Spirit then you will see and do everything in the flesh. Then everything you do is going to be done by pure human effort. When we are in the Spirit all the gifts work together, but when we are in the flesh there will be conflict and confusion like the Corinthian church. The second step is to ask yourself, "What is my motivation for doing this, for feeling this way or behaving in this manner?" The third step that you must know is the characteristics of that gift.

The way to know if God wants you in a certain area of ​​service is to prove that area, "so that you may prove what is the will of God, pleasing and perfect" (Rom. 12:2). The secret to finding the will of God is summed up in one word "prove." This word means "to prove, to put to the test, with the  hope of the approval." We "prove it" upon trying it out; with the hope approval already in our mind. Put your gift to the Test and see how you fit in. Look for hints or clues. You should be conscious of the following:

A. WHAT DO YOU SEE?

Solomon advised, "Whatever your hand finds to do, do it" (Eccl. 9:10). Christ said, "Lift up your eyes and look at the fields, for they are already white for harvest" (John 4:35). What do you see? What needs are obvious to you? Is there a need for teachers to give home bible studies? Perhaps there is a need for intercessors?

B. WHAT ARE YOU DOING?

Do you have good office skills? Are you a good teacher? Do you have good communication skills? These could be keys as to how God wants to use you in your ministry of gifts.

C. WHAT DO YOU ENJOY?

Do you like children? Do you love making flower arrangements? You can watch the children for a mother is in a class for new converts or encourage a shut in with a call.

D. WHAT DO  YOU FEEL?

What is your desire? What would you like to do for the Lord. Don't be too general in this area.

E. WHAT DO YOU HEAR?

Whoever God has truly called to service in a specific area will find confirmation from the body, the church of God. Have you received a good comment from your pastor or the brethren  on something that you have tried to do for Christ?

EVERYONE MUST DISCOVER THEIR GIFT AND USE IT

It has been found that in most businesses that 20% of the people do 80% of the work. This is also true in most churches, 20% of the members do 80% of the work and give 80% of the money.

What would you say to your 13 year old child if  he came to you one day and said to you, "I'm not going to go to school any more, I'm not going to do anything. I don't want a profession, I'm just going to live and have a good time." You probably would tell him, "Look, your mother and I have already invested time and money to rise you."  He turns 18 and comes to you with the same thing, he doesn't want to do anything. You would probably say to him, "Look, you're wasting your life, your time and your talents." What do you think that God is telling you if you're not serving? God wants to use you to serve others. Why do you think God has blessed you?

EL MINISTERIO DE AYUDA

 

 I Corintios 12:28-31; Efesios 4:11-12

Si alguna vez ha sido involucrado en un tipo de apoyo del ministerio, es probable que haya tenido la oportunidad de luchar contra la tentación a renunciar o quejarse. Si usted permite que la Palabra de Dios ministre a su corazón en esta área, usted será librado.

Dios ha puesto Dones en la Iglesia: apóstoles, profetas, evangelistas, pastores y maestros para perfeccionar a los santos para la obra del ministerio, para la edificación del Cuerpo de Cristo. Pero, además de estos hay también los que ayudan. Dios ha establecido ciertos Dones en la Iglesia para cumplir una función primaria: para servir en un papel de apoyo. Las ayudas fueron instituido por Dios para hacer precisamente eso. Son ministerios de apoyo. Estos ministerios son para ayudar al crecimiento de la Iglesia. Todo los trabajos tienen que hacerse Si la meta de Dios para su iglesia va a ser alcanzado. Si usted ha nacido de nuevo usted es parte de la Iglesia.

¿Te has preguntado cuál es su ministerio al pueblo de Dios? ¿Tiene el deseo de formar parte del poderoso movimiento de Dios en estos últimos días? Dios en efecto le ha llamado a un ministerio muy importante, el ministerio de ayudas. Dios ha hecho dos declaraciones relativas sobre el ministerio de ayuda: 

A. Es un Don sobrenatural. 

B. Es un Don que Dios ha puesto en la Iglesia como un pilar de hormigón para ayudar sostener las cosas.

Si usted está en el ministerio de ayudas, ¿a quién entonces ayudas? Dios ha puesto en la Iglesia un pastor para supervisarla. Su trabajo es el de ayudar a su pastor funcionar la iglesia. El ministerio de ayudas actúa como los dedos de una mano para ayudar al pastor.  Dios le da al pastor una visión para Su iglesia, y Él te ha dado a su pastor para “ayudarle” realizar esa visión. Sin el ministerio de ayudas, las cosas no se harían. Sería como una mano sin dedos.

Cada persona es vital para el buen funcionamiento de una Iglesia. Todo las personas deben estar de acuerdo y hablar la misma cosa (I Cor. 1:10). Deben operar en el amor y siempre creer lo mejor el uno del otro. Cuando cada parte funciona correctamente, toda la iglesia funciona suavemente (I Cor. 12:14-26).

Hay muchos hermanos que cuando primero fueron salvados, inmediatamente querían apresurarse en trabajar en un ministerio. Ellos por lo general, suponen que Dios quiere que prediquen. Muy a menudo, ellos se adelantan al plan de Dios, antes que la Palabra de Dios ha renovado sus mentes y saturado sus espíritus. El fracaso es el resultado.

Los hermanos quien están madurando en Cristo exhibirán dos calidades: 

A. Ellos edificaran y aumentan el bienestar de la familia de Dios. 

B. Ellos aprenderán a ministrar (ayudar o server) a otros. Siempre se puede distinguir los hermanos maduros por observando a los que  ayudan al pastor, no estorbarle.

En una película hay una estrella, una persona líder; pero también hay personajes secundarios. ¿Cuál es el trabajo de estos actores de apoyo? Para hacer que el protagonista de la película se vía bien y realice con la máxima eficiencia. La estrella sería incapaz de cumplir su tarea si no fuera por todos los involucrados en una capacidad de apoyo. Todo el mundo tiene un papel que desempeñar. Sin todos estos caracteres de apoyo la película no podía progresar. ¡Una persona no puede hacerlo todo! Lo mismo es cierto con el Evangelio. Dios no llamó a una persona para hacer todo el trabajo él mismo. Dios ha puesto en la Iglesia ciertos ministerios y dones ministeriales para realizar trabajos específicos y para llevar a cabo tareas específicas.

COMO FUNCIONAN LOS MINISTERIOS DE APOYO

En San Mateo 10:1-8,40-41; Jesús envió Sus discípulos para echar fuera demonios, sanar todo tipos de enfermedades, predicar, limpiar los leprosos y resucitar a los muertos. Ésta es una parte emocionante del ministerio. Ésta es la parte de la obra del Señor que todo mundo parece querer, pero pocos parecen haber leído lo que se llevo a cabo antes de que los discípulos salieron hacer estas cosas.

Estos doce fueron llamados a ser apóstoles, pero no comenzaron de esa manera. Jesús los llamó y los aparto con un propósito específico en mente: Iban a realizar el trabajo del Evangelio después de Su partida; pero antes que les dio este poder, la mayor parte de su tiempo fue tomada con lo que muchos

hoy consideraría el trabajo servil. Entonces salieron en el poder de Dios para ministrar; pero cuando regresaron, continuaron haciendo trabajos serviles. A lo largo de los Evangelios, los doce discípulos estaban con El Señor constantemente. Ellos hicieron preparativos antes que Jesús ministraba, controlando a la gente y limpiado después de que las reuniones eran terminadas (Mateo 14:16-20).

Los discípulos operaban en un papel de apoyo, en un ministerio de apoyo. Ellos habían salido y ministrado la Palabra de Dios y estaban emocionados por ello. Pero cuando regresaron, ellos continuaron haciendo lo qué Dios les había llamado a hacer. Su apoyo, su ayuda, su asistencia ayudó que el ministerio del Señor fluyera suavemente. Ellos apoyaron el ministerio en que Dios los había puesto. Ellos se involucraron y estaban emocionados con hacer la obra de Dios. Aunque su trabajo era servil, ellos eran fieles en hacerlo y todo funcionó como un reloj.

Si usted está involucrado en un ministerio, usted necesita comprender la importancia de su trabajo. Usted es parte vital del ministerio que apoya, ya sea por trabajo físico o con sus oraciones y finanzas. Se requiere todos trabajando juntos para hacer el trabajo. Una sola persona no es más importante que otra. Todos tenemos un trabajo que cumplir; es nuestro llamamiento de Dios.

Jesús primero escogió 12 hombres que le siguieran y trabajaran con El en Su ministerio. Luego en Lucas 10:1, designo a otros setenta. Después que Judas lo traicionó, el tuvo que ser reemplazado (Hechos 1:15-26). Los apóstoles buscaron de entre los setenta para elegir un reemplazo.

Matías era uno de los setenta que Jesús había llamado pero él no estaba en el personal ministerial o en el personal docente; no era más que un miembro de la congregación. Pero Dios conocía su corazón. Matías estaba involucrado en todo lo que había que hacer y estaba emocionado al respecto porque él estaba sirviendo a Dios. Dios conocía su corazón y lo exaltó de la posición de discípulo a la del apóstol. Matías no buscaba ser exaltado, pero porque estaba involucrado en lo que Dios estaba haciendo, Dios lo escogió y lo exalto.

Recuerde: involúcrese y haga lo qué hay que hacer; Dios te exaltará! Un ejemplo de un ministerio de apoyo es los siete hombres que fueron escogidos en Hechos 6:1-6. La Biblia está llena de ejemplos de ministerios de apoyo. Felipe empezó como un ayudante y Dios lo exaltó al ministerio de un evangelista. En Hechos 13, leemos acerca de Bernabé y Pablo. Eran maestros y profetas en la Iglesia de Antioquía; entonces Dios los promovió al ministerio de apóstoles. En Hechos 14, vemos que Pablo se había convertido en el principal orador. Esto no molestó a Bernabé, el había visto su potencial y le ayudó a Pablo desarrollar su ministerio. A lo largo de la Biblia encontramos otros ministerios de apoyo: Silas, Tito,  Priscila y Aquila, Timoteo, Filemón, Lucas y otros que ayudaron apoyar el trabajo de Dios con su tiempo y sus bienes.

ENCONTRANDO SU LUGAR EN EL CUERPO

En Proverbios 18:16, leímos, “La dádiva del hombre le ensancha el camino y le lleva delante de los grandes.” Si usted es llamado por Dios, su don hará lugar para usted. Su responsabilidad ahora es ayudar en cualquier capacidad que puede, y dejar que Dios te exalte. Las personas que fueron utilizados de Dios y fueron exaltados en ministerios prominentes no comenzó allí. Comenzaron haciendo lo que estaba a la mano; y luego Dios los exalto.

El elemento más importante a su éxito en cualquier ministerio es saber más allá de la sombra de una duda que usted es llamado por Dios. No importa lo que está llamado hacer, ya sea para predicar o para ser un hombre de mantenimiento, debe darse cuenta de que usted es llamado por Dios.

Muchas hermanos piensan que para ser llamado por Dios, deben estar en el Ministerio a tiempo completo u ocupar un oficio de ministerio como pastor o evangelista. Esto no es cierto. Usted es llamado por Dios para apoyar la obra de Dios con sus oraciones, sus diezmos y ofrendas, su tiempo y sus talentos. Si no cumple usted con su responsabilidad, la Obra de Dios sufrirá. Hay algunos hermanos que piensan que si no están en el frente de todos, ellos son inútil a Dios. ¡Esto es una mentira del diablo! Hay un lugar en el Cuerpo de Cristo para cada uno de nosotros.

PASOS QUE LE AYUDARÁN ENCONTRAR SU LUGAR EN EL CUERPO DE CRISTO

A. REALISE QUE ES LLAMADO POR DIOS

     ¡Si usted es un intercesor de oración o uno que apoya financieramente la obra de Dios, usted es llamado!

B. TOMA LA DECISION DE CUMPLIR CON LA POSICIÓN A LA QUE DIOS LE HA LLAMADO

     Recuerde: Deje que Dios lo promueve; y no se promueva usted mismo.

C. TODO LO QUE TE VINIERE A LA MANO PARA HACER, HAZLO  (Eclesiastés 9:10)

     ¡No a medias, con todo tus fuerzas! (Col. 3:23-24). Mateo 20:6; “Muchos son llamados, mas pocos escogidos.” No es suficiente ser llamado. Cuando ha sido llamado, tienes que involucrarte y empezar a hacer. Involúcrese; entonces usted será elegido. Hay algunos hermanos que son llamados, Pero no son fieles lo suficiente para ser elegido. Cuando esto sucede, los hermanos siempre culpan a Dios cuando era su propia culpa.

D. NO TRATE DE ANDAR EN LLAMADA DE OTRA PERSONA

Si usted hace esto sólo conducirá a la frustración y le llevará fuera de la voluntad de Dios. Debe permitir que Dios te use como Él quiere, con sus propios rasgos de personalidad. Es Dios quien lo llama; no se llama a sí mismo. Usted tendrá éxito si sólo sea usted mismo. No trate de copiar a alguien más.

THE MINISTRY OF HELPS

 

I Corinthians 12:28-31; Ephesians 4:11-12

If you have ever been involved in a supportive type of ministry, you have probably had the opportunity to fight off the temptation to quit or complain. If you will allow God’s Word to minister to your heart in this area, you will be liberated.

God has set gifts in the Church: apostles, prophets, evangelists, pastors and teachers for the perfecting of the saints for the work of the ministry, for the edifying of the body of Christ. But, in addition to these there is also helps. God has set certain gifts in the Church to fulfill one primary function: to serve in a supportive role. Helps was instituted by God to do just that. They are supportive ministries. These ministries are to help the Church grow. All the jobs have to be done if God’s goal for His Church is to be reached. If you are born again you are part of the Church.

Have you ever wondered what your ministry to God’s people is? Do you have a desire to be part of God’s mighty move in these last days? God has indeed called you to a very important ministry, the ministry of helps. God has made two statements concerning the helps ministry:

A. It is a supernatural gift.

B. It is a gift God has set in the Church like a concrete pillar to help hold things up.

If you are in the helps ministry, who then do you help? God has set in the Church a pastor to oversee it. Your job is to help your pastor run the church. The helps ministry acts like fingers on a hand in assisting the pastor. God gives the pastor a vision for His church, and He has given you to your pastor to “help” bring that vision to pass. Without the helps ministry, things won’t get done. It would be like a hand without fingers.

Every person is vital to the proper functioning of a Church. All of the persons must be in agreement and speak the same thing (I Cor. 1:10). They must operate in love and always believe the best about one another. When each part functions properly, the whole church operates smoothly (I Cor. 12: 14-26).

There are many brothers who when they were first saved, immediately wanted to rush out into a ministry. They usually assume God wants them to preach. Very often, they move out ahead of God, before the Word has renewed their minds and saturated their spirits. Failure is the result. 

Brothers who are growing up in Christ will exhibit two qualities:

A. They will build up and add to the welfare of God’s family.

B. They will learn to minister (help or serve) to others. You can always tell the mature brothers by watching those who help the pastor, not hinder him. 

In a movie, there is a star, a leading person; but there are also supporting characters. What is the job of these supporting actors? To make the star of the move look good and perform at maximum efficiency. The star would be unable to accomplish his or her task if it were not for all those involved in a supportive capacity. Everyone has a part to play. Without all these supporting characters, the move could not progress. One person can’t do it all! The same is true with the Gospel. God did not call one person to do all the work himself. God has set in the Church certain ministries and ministry gifts to perform specific jobs and to carry out specific tasks.

 

HOW HELPS MINISTRIES FUNCTION

In Matthew 10:1-8,40-41; Jesus sent out His disciples to cast out demons, heal all kinds of sickness and disease, preach, cleanse the lepers and raise the dead. This is an exciting part of ministry. This is the part of God’s work that everyone seems to want, but few seem to have read what took place before the disciples went out to do these things.

These twelve were called to be apostles, but they did not start out that way. Jesus called them and set them apart with one specific purpose in mind: They were to carry out the work of the Gospel after He left; but before He gave them this power, the majority of their time was taken up with what many today would consider menial work.  Then they went out in the power of God to minister; but when they returned, they continued doing menial work. Throughout the Gospels, the twelve disciples were with the Lord constantly. They made preparations before Jesus ministered, controlling the people and cleaned up after the meetings were over (Matthew 14:16-20).

The disciples operated in a supportive role, in a supportive ministry. They had gone out and ministered the Word and they were excited about it. But when they returned, they continued to do what God had called them to do. Their support, their aid, their assistance helped the Lord’s ministry flow smoothly. They supported the ministry God had placed them in. They got involved and were excited about doing God’s work. Though their work was menial, they were faithful to do it and everything ran like clockwork.

If you are involved in a ministry, you need to grasp the importance of your job. You are a vital part of the ministry you support, whether it be by actual physical work or with your prayers and finances. It takes all working together to get the job done. No one person is more important than another. All of us have a job to fulfill; it is our calling from God.

Jesus first chose 12 men to follow and work with Him in His ministry. Then in Luke 10:1, he appointed seventy others. After Judas betrayed Him, he had to be replaced (Acts 1:15-26). The apostles looked among the seventy to chose a replacement.

Matthias was one of the seventy that Jesus had called but he was not on the ministerial staff or on the teaching staff; he was just a member of the congregation. But, God knew his heart. Matthias was involved in anything there was to do and was excited about it because he was serving God. God knew his heart and exalted him from the position of disciple to that of apostle. Matthias was not looking to be exalted, but because he was involved in what God was doing, God chose him and exalted him.

Remember: get involved and do what there is to do; God will exalt you! An example of a supportive ministry is the seven men who were chosen in Acts 6:1-6.  The Bible is full of examples of supportive ministries. Philip started as a helper and God exalted him to the ministry of an evangelist. In Acts 13, we read about Barnabas and Paul. They were teachers and prophets in the church at Antioch; then God promoted them to the ministry of apostles. In Acts 14, we see that Paul had become the chief speaker. It didn’t bother Barnabas, he had seen his potential and helped Paul develop his ministry. Throughout the Bible we find other supportive ministers: Silas, Titus, Aquila and Priscilla, Philemon, Timothy, Luke and others who helped support the work of God with their time and their substance.

 

FINDING YOUR PLACE IN THE BODY

In Proverbs 18:16, we read, “A man’s gift makes room for him, and brings him before great men.” If you are called of God, your gift will make room for you. Your responsibility now is to help out in any capacity you can, and let God exalt you. People that were used of God and were exalted into prominent ministries did not start there. They began by doing what was at hand; then God exalted them.

The most important  element to your success in any ministry is to know beyond a shadow of a doubt that you are called of God. No matter what you are called to do, whether it is to preach or to be a maintenance man, you must realize that you are called of God.

Many brothers think that to be called of God, they must be in full-time ministry or occupy an office of ministry such as pastor or evangelist. That is not true. You are called of God to support the work of God with your prayers, your tithes and offerings, your time, and your talents. If you do not fulfill your responsibility, the work of God will suffer. There are some brothers who think that unless they are in the front of everyone, they are useless to God. That is a lie from the devil! There is a place in the Body of Christ for each of us.

 

STEPS THAT WILL HELP YOU FIND YOUR PLACE IN THE BODY OF CHRIST

A. REALIZE YOU ARE CALLED OF GOD

Whether you are a prayer intercessor or one who financially supports the work of God, you are called!

B. MAKE A DECISION TO FULFILL THE POSITION GOD HAS CALLED YOU TO

Remember, let God promote you; don’t promote yourself.

C. WHATEVER YOUR HAND FINDS TO DO, DO IT  (Ecclesiastes 9:10)

Not half-heartedly, with all your might! (Col. 3:23-24).  Matthew 20:16 says, “Many are called, but few are chosen.” It is not enough to be called. Once you are called, you have to get involved and start doing. Become involved; then you will be chosen. There are some brothers who are called, but they are not faithful long enough to be chosen. When this happens, brothers always blame God when it was their own fault.

D. DO NOT ATTEMPT TO WALK IN ANOTHER PERSON’S CALLING

If you do this it will only lead to frustration and take you out of the will of God. You must allow God to use you as He wants, with your own personality traits. It is God that calls you; you do not call yourself. You will have success if you just be yourself. Don’t try to copy someone else.
