PARA INSTRUIR

Mis hermanos  amados  pido a Dios que cuando esta llega a usted le encontrará disfrutando de las maravillosas bendiciones de Dios. Soy Obispo Martin Vásquez y actualmente estoy en un sabático del  pastorado después de cuarenta año y habiendo pastoreado once iglesias en los Estados Unidos y Costa Rica. Yo siempre oraba y soñaba con ir y ministrar la Palabra de Dios a la gente en todo el mundo, pero nunca tuve la oportunidad. Después de que dejé mi último pastorado, debido a mi salud, pensé que yo nunca tendría otra oportunidad para ministrar la Palabra de Dios.  Mi ministerio siempre ha sido el de enseñar y preparar a la iglesia.

Un día cuando yo estaba en mi oficina pensando lo que yo podría hacer para el Señor para ayudar a la iglesia Él me dijo ves todas aquellas cajas de notas, estudios y sermones que tiene almacenados, úselos Él me dijo. Pero, cómo pensaba a mí mismo y es entonces que Dios me dijo mirar tu computadora, utilizarlo me dijo, para alimentar a mí pueblo. Es entonces que Dios me dio la idea de utilizar el Facebook y a iniciar un blog para extender Su Palabra.

Este es por qué  empecé estos blogs y en este corto tiempo Dios los ha utilizado para alcanzar a cientos de personas  alrededor del mundo. Estos blog actualmente son vistos diariamente en 42 países en seis continentes. HE IS NOT HERE, HE IS RISEN!

“After the Sabbath, at dawn on the first day of the week, Mary Magdalene and the other Mary went to look at the tomb. There was a violent earthquake, for an angel of the Lord came down from heaven and, going to the tomb, rolled back the stone and sat on it. His appearance was like lightning, and his clothes were white as snow. The guards were so afraid of him that they shook and became like dead men. The angel said to the women, “Do not be afraid, for I know that you are looking for Jesus, who was crucified. He is not here; he has risen, just as he said. Come and see the place where he lay.” Matthew 28:1-6

He is not here, He is raised! These seven words declare the most important truth in the entire Bible. You may ask, “Could any truth be more important than the truth of the virgin birth of Christ or, the truth of the cross of Calvary? Or the miracles that Jesus did, healing the sick, giving sight to the blind, and restoring the dead to life?” Yes! Because, it doesn’t matters what Jesus did, or who He was, if death could have kept Him in the grave, All else would have been in vain!

The cross and the resurrection of Jesus are inseparable one demands the other. If Jesus had not died there would of course be no resurrection, hence no faith, no salvation, no new creation; but had he not conquered death, hell, and the grave His death would have been in vain. Therefore those who deny His resurrection might just as well deny that He was crucified! “Now if Christ be preached that he rose from the dead, how say some among you that there is no resurrection of the dead? But if there be no resurrection of the dead, then is Christ not risen: And if Christ be not risen, then is our preaching vain, and your faith is also vain. Yea, and we are found false witnesses of God; because we have testified of God that he raised up Christ: whom he raised not up, if so be that the dead rise not. For if the dead rise not, then is not Christ raised: And if Christ be not raised, your faith is vain; ye are yet in your sins. Then they also which are fallen asleep in Christ are perished. If in this life only we have hope in Christ, we are of all men most miserable” (I Corinthians 15:12-19).

The devil did everything in his power to keep Jesus from the cross. He knew that if Jesus reached Calvary, His death on the cross would eventually lead to the downfall of his kingdom. Satan assembled all the forces of hell, in an all-out attempt to destroy Jesus before He reached the cross, but the Bible tells us in Colossians 2:15 that Jesus, “Having disarmed the powers and authorities, he made a public spectacle of them, triumphing over them by the cross.” When Jesus prayed in the Garden of Gethsemane, He saw all the forces of hell allied together to crush Him; but an angel was sent to strengthen Him and He won the victory, putting hell to an open shame.

The devil tried to kill Jesus on the Roman whipping post and failed. He tried to kill Him under the weight of the cross and failed. Jesus came into the world to die on the cross, and all the forces of hell could not stop Him! Even after He reached the cross and died there, they thought that they could keep Him in the tomb by rolling a heavy stone across the door, sealing it with the imperial seal of Rome, and placing a Roman guard over it. But they did not reckon on the power of God and the fact that it was not possible for death to hold Him because He was God manifested in the flesh just as the gospel of St. John 1:14 tells us “And the Word was made flesh, and dwelt among us.”

It was not possible that death could hold Jesus! Death is the result of sin, “the wages of sin is death” says Romans 6:23, “Sin, when it is finished, bringeth forth death” says James 1:15, but Jesus did not sin; there was no sin in Him. Therefore death had no claim on Him. Jesus did not die as mortals die; He did not die a “natural” death. He layed His life down of Himself, that He might take it again. He said in John 10:17-18, “No man taketh it from me, but I lay it down of myself. I have power to lay it down, and I have power to take it again.” Jesus is Life, and it is impossible for death to hold life. He said in St. John 11:25: “I am the resurrection, and the life.” He took a body in order that He might die, lay His life down, and through death make eternal life possible for all who believe in Him. John 3:16: “For God so loved the world, that he gave his only begotten Son, that whosoever believeth in him should not perish, but have everlasting life.”

No man killed Jesus! It is true that men demanded His death, men arrested and condemned Him, and the hands of men nailed Him to the cross, but make no mistake, friend, man did not take His life! Jesus was God manifested in the flesh, and God cannot die or be killed.   

Pilate gave Jesus’ lifeless body to Nicodemus and Joseph of Arimathaea. They took it down form the cross and placed it in Joseph’s new tomb, but it was not possible for corruption to destroy His body, and on the third day after His burial Jesus came forth from the grave in the same body Nicodemus and Joseph had placed in the tomb! If He had not risen bodily He would not have won total victory over death.

Without His bodily resurrection He would have won only partial victory over death. But He did rise bodily, and the Word of God declares: “When this corruptible shall have put on incorruption, and this mortal shall have put on immortality, then shall be brought to pass the saying that is written, Death is swallowed up in victory. O death, where is thy sting? O grave, where is thy victory? The sting of death is sin; and the strength of sin is the law. But thanks be to god, which giveth us the victory through our Lord Jesus Christ!” (I Corinthians 15:54-57).

Thank God, He did not stop short of total victory, victory over the world, the flesh, and the devil, death, hell, and the grave. He took a body that was capable of dying and in that body He died and rose again. His bodily resurrection is the guarantee that He conquered all He came to conquer, and He now holds the keys of hell and of death. “I am the first and the last: I am he that liveth, and was dead; and, behold, I am alive for evermore, Amen; and have the keys of hell and of death.” (Rev. 1:18).  

That the dead are going to be raised to life again is taught throughout the scriptures, “Verily, verily, I say unto you,  The hour is coming, and now is, when the dead shall hear the voice of the Son of God: and they that hear shall live. For as the Father hath life in himself; so hath he given to the Son to have life in himself; And hath given him authority to execute judgment also, because he is the Son of man. Marvel not at this: for the hour is coming, in the which all that are in the graves shall hear his voice, And shall come forth; they that have done good, unto the resurrection of life; and they that have done evil, unto the resurrection of damnation” (John 5:25-29).  Two things are taught in this Scripture. The first thing is that everyone who dies is going to be raised to life again. The second thing is that some are going to be raised to life while others are going to be raised to everlasting shame and damnation.

Everyone who’s ever lived and died is going to be raise from the dead in the end of the age. They will either be raised to eternal life or to eternal damnation. What a person does with Christ will determine which of these it will be, “the rest of the dead lived not again until the thousand years were finished. This is the first resurrection. Blessed and holy is he that hath part in the first resurrection: on such the second death hath no power, but they shall be priests of God and of Christ, and shall reign with him. And I saw a great white throne, and him that sat on it, from whose face the earth and the heaven fled away; and there was found no place for them. And I saw the dead, small and great, stand before God; and the books were opened: and another book was opened, which is the book of life: and the dead were judged out of those things which were written in the books, according to their works. And the sea gave up the dead which were in it; and death and hell delivered up the dead which were in them: and they were judged every man according to their works.  And death and hell were cast into the lake of fire. This is the second death. And whosoever was not found written in the book of life was cast into the lake of fire.” (Revelation  205-6, 11-15).

NO ESTA AQUI, HA RESUCITADO

“Pasado el día de reposo, al amanecer del primer día de la semana, vinieron María Magdalena y la otra María, a ver el sepulcro. Y hubo un gran terremoto; porque un ángel del Señor, descendiendo del cielo y llegando, removió la piedra, y se sentó sobre ella. Su aspecto era como un relámpago, y su vestido blanco como la nieve. Y de miedo de él los guardas temblaron y se quedaron como muertos. Mas el ángel, respondiendo, dijo a las mujeres: No temáis vosotras; porque yo sé que buscáis a Jesús, el que fue crucificado. No está aquí, pues ha resucitado, como dijo. Venid, ved el lugar donde fue puesto el Señor.” Mateo 28:1-6

¡Él no está aquí, ha resucitado! Estas siete palabras declaran la verdad más importante en la Biblia entera. ¿Usted puede preguntar, “Podía alguna verdad ser más importante que la verdad del nacimiento virginal de Cristo o, la verdad de la cruz de Calvario? ¿O los milagros que Cristo hizo, sanar los enfermos, dar la vista a los ciegos, y resucitando los muertos?” ¡Sí! ¡Porque, no importa lo que hizo Jesús, o quién era, si la muerte lo podría haber mantenido en la tumba, todo lo demás hubiera sido en vano! Pero si se predica de Cristo que resucitó de los muertos, ¿cómo dicen algunos entre vosotros que no hay resurrección de muertos?

La cruz y la resurrección de Jesús son inseparables, el uno demanda el otro. Si Jesús no hubiera muerto no habría por supuesto ninguna resurrección, de ahí ninguna fe, ninguna salvación, ninguna nueva creación; pero se no hubiera conquistado la muerte, el infierno, y la tumba Su muerte hubiera sido en vano. ¡Por lo tanto aquellos  que niegan Su resurrección más vale que nieguen que fue crucificado! “Porque si no hay resurrección de muertos, tampoco Cristo resucitó. Y si Cristo no resucitó, vana es entonces nuestra predicación, vana es también vuestra fe. Y somos hallados falsos testigos de Dios; porque hemos testificado de Dios que él resucitó a Cristo, al cual no resucitó, si en verdad los muertos no resucitan. Porque si los muertos no resucitan, tampoco Cristo resucitó; y si Cristo no resucitó, vuestra fe es vana; aún estáis en vuestros pecados. Entonces también los que durmieron en Cristo perecieron. Si en esta vida solamente esperamos en Cristo, somos los más dignos de conmiseración de todos los hombres” (I Corintios 15:12-19).

    

El diablo hizo todo en su poder de mantener a Jesús de la cruz. Él sabía que si Jesús alcanzara el Calvario, Su muerte en la cruz eventualmente traería la caída de su reino. Satanás reunió todas las fuerzas del infierno, en un intento de destruir a Jesús antes de que él alcanzara la cruz, pero la Biblia nos dice en Colosenses 2:15 que Jesús, “despojando a los principados y a las potestades, los exhibió públicamente, triunfando sobre ellos en la cruz.” Cuando Jesús oro en el Jardín de Getsemaní, Él vio todas las fuerzas del infierno aliados juntos para aplastarlo; pero un Ángel fue enviado para fortalecerlo y El obtuvo la victoria, poniendo al infierno a una vergüenza abierta.

El diablo trató de matar a Jesús cuando fue azotado por los romanos pero no lo logro. Él trató de matarlo bajo el peso de la cruz y falló. ¡Jesús vino al mundo para morir en la cruz, y ni el diablo y todas las fuerzas del infierno no podían pararlo!  Incluso después de que Él llegó a la cruz y murió allí, ellos pensaron que ellos podrían mantenerlo en la tumba por poniendo una piedra pesada en frente de la entrada, sellándolo con el sello imperial de Roma, y poniendo una guardia romana enfrente de ella. Pero ellos no habían tomado en cuenta el poder de Dios y el hecho que no era posible que la muerte lo detuviera porque Él era Dios mismo manifestado en la carne como dice el evangelio de San Juan 1:14; “Y aquel Verbo fue hecho carne, y habitó entre nosotros.”

¡No era posible que la muerte detuviera a Jesús! La muerte es el resultado del pecado, “Porque la paga del pecado es muerte” dice Romanos 6:23, “y el pecado, siendo consumado, da a luz la muerte” dice Santiago 1:15, pero Jesús no pecó; no había pecado en Él. Por tanto la muerte no tenía ningún derecho a Jesús. Jesús no murió como muere un mortal; Él no murió una muerte “natural.” Él entrego su vida por su propia voluntad, para volverla a tomar. El dijo en San Juan 10:17-18: “Yo pongo mi vida, para volverla a tomar. Nadie me la quita, sino que yo de mí mismo la pongo. Tengo poder para ponerla, y tengo poder para volverla a tomar.” Jesús es vida, y es imposible que la muerte retenga la vida. Él dijo en San Juan 11:25: “Yo soy la resurrección y la vida.” Él tomo un cuerpo para poder morir, dar Su vida, y mediante la muerte hacer posible la vida eterna a todos los que creen en Él, San Juan 3:16: “Porque de tal manera amó Dios al mundo, que ha dado a su Hijo unigénito, para que todo aquel que en él cree, no se pierda, mas tenga vida eterna.”

¡Ningún hombre mató a Jesús! ¡Es cierto que los hombres demandaron Su muerte, los hombres lo detuvieron y lo condenaron, y las manos de hombres le clavaron en la Cruz, pero no nos equivoquemos, el hombre no tomo su vida! Jesús era Dios manifestado en la carne, y Dios no puede morir ni puede ser matado.   

Pilato dio el cuerpo exánime de Jesús a Nicodemo y José de Arimathaea. Ellos bajaron el cuerpo de la cruz y lo pusieron en la tumba nueva de José, ¡pero no era posible que la corrupción destruya Su cuerpo, y al tercer día después de Su entierro Jesús salió de la tumba en el mismo cuerpo que Nicodemo y José habían puesto en la tumba! Si Él no hubiera resucitado corporalmente no hubiera ganado la victoria total sobre la muerte.     

Sin Su resurrección corporal Él hubiera ganado solamente una victoria parcial sobre la muerte. Pero, Él si resucito corporalmente, y la Palabra de Dios declara: “Y cuando esto corruptible se haya vestido de incorrupción, y esto mortal se haya vestido de inmortalidad, entonces se cumplirá la palabra que está escrita: Sorbida es la muerte en victoria. ¿Dónde está, oh muerte, tu aguijón? ¿Dónde, oh sepulcro, tu victoria? ya que el aguijón de la muerte es el pecado, y el poder del pecado, la ley. Mas gracias sean dadas a Dios, que nos da la victoria por medio de nuestro Señor Jesucristo” (I Corintios 15:54-57).

Gracias a Dios que Él no se detuvo antes que ganar victoria total sobre el mundo, la carne, y el diablo, la muerte, el infierno, y la tumba. Tomo un cuerpo que era capaz de morir y en ese cuerpo Él murió y resucito. Su resurrección corporal es la garantía que conquisto todo lo que Él vino a conquistar, y Él ahora retiene las llaves del infernó y de la muerte. “yo soy el primero y el último; y el que vivo, y estuve muerto; mas he aquí que vivo por los siglos de los siglos, amén. Y tengo las llaves de la muerte y del Hades” (Apocalipsis 1:17-18).

Que todos los muertos van a ser resucitados a vida es enseñado en las escrituras, “De cierto, de cierto os digo: Viene la hora, y ahora es, cuando los muertos oirán la voz del Hijo de Dios; y los que la oyeren vivirán. Porque como el Padre tiene vida en sí mismo, así también ha dado al Hijo el tener vida en sí mismo; y también le dio autoridad de hacer juicio, por cuanto es el Hijo del Hombre. No os maravilléis de esto; porque vendrá hora cuando todos los que están en los sepulcros oirán su voz; y los que hicieron lo bueno, saldrán a resurrección de vida; mas los que hicieron lo malo, a resurrección de condenación.” (Juan 5:25-29). Dos cosas se enseñan en esta escritura. La primera cosa es que todos los que mueren van a ser resucitados a vida. La segunda cosa es que algunos van a ser resucitados a vida eterna mientras otros van a ser resucitados a vergüenza eterna y condenación.

Todos los que han vivido y han muerto van a resucitar de la muerte al fin de la edad. Ellos se levantaran a la vida eterna o a la muerte eterna. Lo que la persona hace con Cristo va determinar cuál de estos dos va ser su fin. “los otros muertos no volvieron a vivir hasta que se cumplieron mil años. Esta es la primera resurrección. Bienaventurado y santo el que tiene parte en la primera resurrección; la segunda muerte no tiene potestad sobre éstos, sino que serán sacerdotes de Dios y de Cristo, y reinarán con él. Y vi un gran trono blanco y al que estaba sentado en él, de delante del cual huyeron la tierra y el cielo, y ningún lugar se encontró para ellos. Y vi a los muertos, grandes y pequeños, de pie ante Dios; y los libros fueron abiertos, y otro libro fue abierto, el cual es el libro de la vida; y fueron juzgados los muertos por las cosas que estaban escritas en los libros, según sus obras. Y el mar entregó los muertos que había en él; y la muerte y el Hades entregaron los muertos que había en ellos; y fueron juzgados cada uno según sus obras. Y la muerte y el Hades fueron lanzados al lago de fuego. Esta es la muerte segunda. Y el que no se halló inscrito en el libro de la vida fue lanzado al lago de fuego” (Apocalipsis 20:56, 11-15).              

THE BIBLE AND THE UNISEX TREND

“Male and female created he them.” Genesis 1:27

Unisex is the practice of both men and women to dress and style their hair so that their sex cannot be determined. When God created man and woman, He made them to be different from one another. One was not better than the other. Instead they complemented one another.

“And the Lord God said it is not good that the man should be alone; I will make him an help meet for him” (Gen. 2:18). Adam and Eve were two separate individuals. It was God’s will that they unite together in marriage and that in that union they became as one. “Therefore shall a man leave his father and his mother and shall cleave unto his wife and they shall be on flesh” (Gen. 2:24). The two make one. This is further explained in Genesis 5:2, “Male and female created he them and blessed them and called their name “Adam”.

Together as they complemented one another in the union of marriage they completed the species we know as “man”. They were different from one another in looks, strength, purpose and thought, yet they needed one another to form a complete unit capable of reproducing itself in the form of boys and girls who would grow up to be men and women who would also be different.

God intends for man and women to be different. They were made to be different and it is His plan that they look different and act differently. The current trend to break down the identity of the sexes in appearance and in actions is in direct opposition to the intent of God’s original creation and the teaching of His Word. It is a sin for a man to wear his hair long as does a woman, or for a woman to wear clothes to look like a man.

Fundamentally the teaching behind Scriptures like, I Corinthians 11:14-15 and Deuteronomy 22:5, is that God wants men and women to look different. There are some that say that Deuteronomy 22:5, is an Old Testament Scripture and that we are no longer under the Law!

Two of the main parts of the Law of Moses are the Ceremonial Law and the other is the Moral Law. The Ceremonial Law is applicable only to the people of Israel. The Moral Law on the other hand is applicable to all people and especially to the church. For example; keeping the Sabbath is a Ceremonial Law. “Thou shall not kill” or “thou shall not commit adultery” are Moral laws. In the case of Deuteronomy 22:5, this is dealing with a Moral Law.

We must understand that God does not change, He is “the same yesterday, and today, and forever” (Hebrews 13:8). If He made man and woman different, He expects them to be different today. If it was an “abomination” to God for people to dress in a unisex way then, it is still an “abomination” to a Holy God to do so today. What is abomination? Abomination is sin against God Himself. Sin is transgression of God’s law (I John 3:4), but abomination is more grave then sin. God can more easily forgive sin then He will forgive abomination, because this is a sin against Him.

Satan’s plan is to break down the distinction of the sexes. One of his methods is through his influence on the dress styles and trends of the world. Today’s styles and trend are designed to obscure the physical characteristics which distinguish men from women and vice versa. Satan uses every means he can to achieve this purpose. Many of today’s fashion designers and trend advocates are atheistic and it stands to reason why they would promote a unisex, anti God philosophy. It is interesting to note that the majority of the fashion designers and trend advocates are either lesbians or gays.

Another reason for the emphasis on unisex is rebellion. Men today express their rebellion by letting their hair grow long like women and wearing earrings like them. Women express their rebel by cutting their hair like men and dressing and acting like them. Remember, at the root of all rebellion is always Satan and this abomination is always directed at God (I Samuel 15:23).

The spirit of unisex is expressing itself in other ways. Children are being taught in school that it is not necessarily the mothers place to be the homemaker or the fathers place to be the provider. We realize there is certainly a need for cooperation between mom and dad in these areas, but primarily the women are to be “keepers at home” (Titus 2:5) and dads are the providers (I Timothy 5:8). Women today are demanding jobs previously performed by men. I realize that there are many jobs that both men and women can perform. It is also true that women are not designed for some jobs.

We have to remember, God made man and woman differently. A woman is not physically designed to carry heavy loads, dig ditches, serve in the army, etc. God designed her in a way to conceive, carry and bear children. She is not physically equal to man. She is out of her place performing jobs requiring physical strength and endurance. She is only hurting herself.

The Scripture makes it clear that God created man and woman to be different and that their differences complement one another to the point that together they become “one flesh”. Current trend and styles are obviously designed to break down this distinction. The Christian is not a citizen of this world on his way to heaven! He is a citizen of heaven, passing through this world on his way home. He is warned not to “conform to the things of this world” while on his way through it. He is to seek to please God in all things. And one can only do this as one follows the teaching of God’s Word.

You and I can do our part to reverse this trend by determining in our heart to please God. We can start by being sure that we dress and act like men and women and teach our children to do likewise. “Male and female created he them”, let’s do our part to keep it that way.

LA BIBLIA Y LA MODA DEL UNISEXO

“Varón y hembra los creó.” Génesis 1:27

El unisex es la práctica tanto de hombres como de mujeres para vestir y diseñar su pelo de modo que su sexo no pueda ser determinado. Cuando Dios creó al hombre y la mujer, Él los hizo para ser diferente el uno del otro. Uno no era mejor que el otro. En cambio ellos complementaron el uno al otro.

“Y dijo Jehová Dios: No es bueno que el hombre este solo; le haré ayuda idónea para el” (Génesis 2:18). Adán y Eva eran dos personas distintas. Fue la voluntad de Dios que se unieran en matrimonio y que en esa unión se convirtieran en uno.  “Por tanto, dejará el hombre a su padre y a su madre, y se unirá a su mujer, y serán una sola carne” (Gn. 2:24). Los dos hacen uno. Esto se explica más en Gn. 5:2, “Varón y hembra los creó, y los bendijo, y llamó el nombre de ellos Adán.”

Juntos ellos se complementaban el uno al otro en la unión de matrimonio, ellos completaron la especie que nosotros sabemos como “el hombre”. Juntos, estos se complementan mutuamente en la unión del matrimonio ellos completaron las especies que conocemos como 'el hombre'. Ellos eran diferentes el uno del otro en apariencia, fuerza, propósito y pensamiento, sin embargo, aún ellos se necesitaban el uno al otro para formar una unidad completa capaz de reproducirse en la forma de muchachos y muchachas que crecerían a ser hombres y mujeres que también serían diferentes.        

Dios tiene la intención que el hombre y la mujer fueran diferente. Ellos fueron hechos para ser diferentes y esto es Su plan que ellos parezcan diferente y actúan diferentemente. La tendencia actual de derribar la identidad de los sexos en apariencia y en las acciones está en oposición directa a la intención de la creación original de Dios y la enseñanza de Su Palabra. Es un pecado que un hombre use su pelo largo como una mujer, o que una mujer use ropa para parecer a un hombre.

Fundamentalmente la enseñanza detrás de Escrituras como, I Corintios 11:14-15 y Deuteronomio 22:5, consiste en que Dios quiere que los hombres y las mujeres parezcan diferente. ¡Hay unos que dicen que Deuteronomio 22:5, es una Escritura del Antiguo Testamento y que  nosotros ya no estamos bajo la Ley!

Dos de las partes principales de la Ley de Moisés son la Ley ceremonial  y el otro es la Ley Moral. La Ley Ceremonial es aplicable sólo al pueblo de Israel. La Ley Moral por el contrario es aplicable a todo mundo y especialmente a la Iglesia. Por ejemplo; guardar el sábado es una Ley Ceremonial. “No matarás” o “no adulteras” son Leyes Morales. En el caso de Deuteronomio 22:5, se trata de una Ley Moral.

 

Debemos entender que Dios no cambia, Él es “el mismo ayer, hoy y por los siglos” (Hebreos 13:8). Si Él hizo al hombre ya la mujer diferente, Él espera que ellos sean diferentes en la actualidad. Si era una “abominación” a Dios que la gente se vistiera de manera unisex en ese tiempo, todavía es una “abominación” a un Dios Santo hacerlo ahora. ¿Qué es abominación? La abominación es pecar contra Dios mismo. El pecado es la transgresión de la ley de Dios (I Juan 3:4), pero la abominación es más grave que el pecado. Dios puede perdonar más fácilmente el pecado que la abominación, porque este es un pecado contra Él.

El plan del Satanás es derribar la diferencia de los sexos. Uno de sus métodos es por su influencia en los estilos de vestir y las modas del mundo. Los estilos de hoy y las modas son diseñados para ocultar las características físicas que distinguen a los hombres de las mujeres y viceversa. Satanás se vale de todos los medios que puede para lograr este propósito. Muchos de los diseñadores de los estilos y promotores de modas de hoy son ateos y es lógico pensar por qué ellos promoverían un unisex, anti Dios filosofía. Es interesante notar que la mayoría de los diseñadores de estilos y defensores de las modas son lesbianas o gay.

Otra razón del énfasis en el unisex es la rebelión. Los hombres hoy expresan su rebelión dejando crecer su pelo largo como las mujeres y usar aretes como ellas. Las mujeres expresan su rebelan cortando su pelo como los hombres y vistiéndose y actuando como ellos. Recuerde, que la raíz de toda rebelión es siempre Satanás y esta abominación siempre es dirigida a Dios (I Samuel 15:23).

Este espíritu de unisex se esta manifestando en otras formas. A los niños se les enseña en la escuela que no es necesariamente el lugar de la madre atender el hogar o el lugar del padre ser el proveedor. Realizamos que hay ciertamente una necesidad de la cooperación entre la madre y el padre en estas áreas, pero principalmente la madre está para ser “cuidadora de su casa” (Tito 2:5) y los padres son los proveedores (I Timoteo 5:8). Las mujeres a hoy están exigiendo empleos que anteriormente eran realizados por hombres. Comprendo que hay muchos empleos que ambos hombres y mujeres pueden realizar. También es verdad que las mujeres no están diseñadas para algunos trabajos.

Tenemos que recordar, Dios hizo  al hombre y la mujer diferentes. Una mujer no es físicamente diseñada para llevar cargas pesadas, excavar zanjas, servir en el ejército, etc. Dios la diseñó en un modo de concebir, llevar y parid hijos. Ella no es físicamente igual al hombre. Ella está fuera de su lugar realizando empleos que requieren la fuerza física y la resistencia. Ella sólo se está  lastimándose a ella misma.

La Escritura deja claro que Dios creó el hombre y la mujer para ser diferente y que sus diferencias complementan el uno al otro al punto que juntos ellos se convierten en “una sola carne”. Las modas y estilos corrientes son obviamente diseñadas para derribar este diferencia. ¡El cristiano no es un ciudadano de este mundo en su camino al cielo! Él es un ciudadano de cielo, pasando por este mundo de camino a su hogar. Él es advertido de no “conformarse a las cosas de este mundo” mientras pasa por ella. Él debe procurar complacer a Dios en todas las cosas. Y uno sólo puede hacer esto mientras él sigue  la enseñanza de la Palabra de Dios.

Usted y yo podemos hacer nuestra parte para invertir esta moda y estilo por determinar en nuestro corazón agradar a Dios. Podemos empezar por estar seguro de vestir y actuar como hombres y mujeres y enseñar a nuestros hijos a hacer igualmente. “Varón y hembra los creo”, hay que hacer nuestra parte para que siempre sea de esta manera.

MATURING IN PRAYER

“Do not be anxious about anything, but in everything, by prayer and petition, with thanksgiving, present your requests to God And the peace of God, which transcends all understanding, will guard your hearts and your minds in Christ Jesus.” (Philippians 4:6-7)

SEEKING THE HAND OF GOD (Praying only because of needs) John 6:2, 26

The lowest form of communication with God is praying only because of a personal need. This is considered "seeking the hand of God." During the earthly ministry of Jesus, multitudes of people sought out and followed Him, but very few of them were interesting in committing their lives to Him in real discipleship (vv. 60, 66-68). To them Jesus was not more than someone who could satisfy their needs. He could heal their sick bodies when they needed healing. He could give them food when they were hungry. Only a very few ever thought of Jesus as someone they could enjoy fellowship with, and who desires fellowship in return. Most believers unfortunately are living on this level of a relationship with Jesus. Their prayer life is almost non-existence until a serious problem arises. Then they know right where to go.

SWEET HOUR OF PRAYER (Survival Prayer) Matthew 26:40-41

The very minimum every Christian should pray in order to live a victorious life is at least one hour a day. That won't make you an intercessor or a prayer warrior, but it will probably be enough to maintain your present relationship with Jesus. This one hour a day is referred to as survival prayer. This describes the prayer life of most Christians. How many Christians pray at least one hour every day? You must pray one hour just to overcome temptation, but do you believe that revival will come because of this kind of praying? (Mark 14:37-38) If you are not regularly praying one hour, make this your first goal, but not your final goal. At least an hour of prayer every day is required in order to overcome temptation and to help us to live in a way that is acceptable to Jesus.

SEEKING THE FACE OF GOD (Revival praying) II Chronicles 7:14

You will notice that prayer and seeking God's face are listed separately in this scripture. Prayer is not necessarily seeking the face of God. It could be seeking the hand of God. It could be survival prayer, to keep what we already have in God. Seeking the face of God involves more than that!

SPIRITUAL WARFARE (Prayer from the throne of authority) II Corinthians 10:3-4; Ephesians 6:12

Whenever a person becomes a Spirit-filled believer, he acquires new enemies, Satan and his kingdom! Before we came to Jesus, we were a part of the “world system,” over which Satan rules (Ephesians 2:2-3). Some of us didn’t even know Satan existed, until we became a believer. We were already involved in spiritual warfare before even being warned that there is such a thing.

No wonder the Apostle Paul encouraged Timothy to be a good soldier of Jesus Christ (II Timothy 2:3), and “fight the good fight of faith” (I Timothy 6:12). Yes, we are in a battle, and to be successful we need proper knowledge concerning our enemy, so that we can identify and defeat him! Seeking the face of God is a higher level of prayer than the one hour prayer. It involves doing whatever it takes to get the answer! It involves humbling ourselves before God. It involves getting our relationship right with God.

INTERCESSORY PRAYER (Prayer before the throne for others) I Timothy 2:1, 3-4

Many people who sincerely seek the face of God continually will eventually become intercessors. An intercessor is a person who prays on behalf of others, he stands in the gap between God and men. We seek the face of God because of spiritual thirst. In seeking the face of God, we pray often to become more like Jesus, and to become more useful in the kingdom of God. God's answer to these prayers is to fill us with His love, and a burden to pray for others. We become intercessors because of that burden and love.

MADURANDO EN LA ORACIÓN

“Por nada estéis afanosos, sino sean conocidas vuestras peticiones delante de Dios en toda oración y ruego, con acción de gracias. Y la paz de Dios, que sobrepasa todo entendimiento, guardará vuestros corazones y vuestros pensamientos en Cristo Jesús.” (Filipenses 4:6-7)

BUSCANDO LA MANO DE DIOS (Orando sólo debido a necesidades) Juan 6:2, 26

La forma más baja de la comunicación con Dios es orando sólo debido a una necesidad personal. Esto es considerado “buscando la mano de Dios.”  Durante el ministerio terrenal de Jesús, una multitud de gente le buscó y lo siguieron, pero muy pocos de ellos estaban interesados en comprometer sus vidas a Él en un verdadero discipulado (vv. 60, 66-68). Para ellos Jesús no era más que alguien que Podía satisfacer sus necesidades. Él podía sanar sus cuerpos enfermos cuando ellos necesitaban la sanidad. Él podía darles de comer cuando tenían hambre. Sólo unos pocos pensaron alguna vez en Jesús como alguien con quien podría disfrutar del compañerismo, y quién desea el compañerismo en cambio. La mayoría de los creyentes lamentablemente viven en este nivel de una relación con Jesús. Su vida de oración es casi inexistencia hasta que un problema grave surge. Entonces ellos saben exactamente a donde ir.

DULCE HORA DE ORACIÓN (Oración de supervivencia) Mateo 26:40-41

Lo mínimo que cada cristiano debería orar con el fin de vivir una vida victoriosa es por lo menos una hora al día. Esto no lo hará un intercesor o un guerrero de oración, pero será probablemente bastante para mantener su relación presente con Jesús. Esta hora al día se conoce como oración de supervivencia. Esto describe la vida de oración de la mayoría de los creyentes. ¿Cuántos creyentes oran por lo menos una hora cada día? Usted debe orar una hora sólo para vencer la tentación, pero ¿cree usted que el avivamiento vendrá a causa de este tipo de oración? (Marcos 14:37-38) Si usted no está orando con regularidad una hora, haga este su primer objetivo, pero no su meta final. Al menos una hora de oración cada día es necesaria para vencer la tentación y para ayudarnos a vivir de una manera que sea aceptable a Jesús.

BUSCANDO EL ROSTRO DEL DIOS (Oración de avivamiento)  II Crónicas 7:14

Usted notará que la oración y buscar el rostro de Dios aparecen por separado en esta escritura. La oración no necesariamente es busca el rostro de Dios. Podría estar buscando la mano de Dios.  Podría ser la oración de supervivencia, para guardar lo que ya tenemos en Dios. ¡Buscar el rostro Dios implica más que esto!

GUERRA ESPIRITUAL (Oración del trono de autoridad)  II Corintios 10:3-4, Efesios 6:12

¡Cuando una persona se convierte en un creyente lleno del Espíritu Santo, adquiere nuevos enemigos, Satanás y su reino! Antes de conocer a Jesús, éramos parte del "sistema mundial", sobre la que Satanás gobierna (Efesios 2:2-3). Algunos de nosotros ni siquiera sabíamos que Satanás existía, hasta que nos hiciéramos un creyente. Ya estábamos involucrados en la guerra espiritual antes de ser advertido que había tal cosa.

No es de extrañar que el apóstol Pablo anima a Timoteo a ser un buen soldado de Jesucristo (II Timoteo 2:3), “Pelea la buena batalla de la fe” (I Timoteo 6:12). ¡Sí, estamos en una batalla, y para tener éxito necesitamos conocimiento adecuado acerca de nuestro enemigo, para que podamos identificar y derrotarlo! Buscando el rostro de Dios es un nivel mayor de oración que la oración de una hora. ¡Esto implica hacer todo lo que sea necesario para obtener la respuesta! Esto implica humillarnos ante Dios. Esto implica que nuestra relación con Dios este bien.

ORACION INTERCESORA: (Oración ante el trono para otros) I Timoteo 2:1, 3-4

Muchas personas que sinceramente buscan la el rostro de Dios continuamente se harán finalmente intercesores. Un intercesor es una persona que ora en nombre de otros, él está de pie en la brecha entre Dios y los hombres.

Buscamos el rostro de Dios debido a la sed espiritual. En la búsqueda del rostro de Dios, oramos a menudo para hacernos más como Jesús, y hacernos más útiles en el reino de Dios. La respuesta de Dios a estas oraciones  es que nos llena de Su amor, y una carga para orar por otros. Nos hacemos intercesores debido a aquella carga y amor.
